This wick really is hemp with beeswax. It burns well and smells like the products it is made from. Nice! It is easy to use and store because it is very compact.

The Twisted Bee 100% Natural Hemp Wick with Natural Beeswax Coating is a good quality product in terms of its materials. The hemp wick itself burns cleanly, and the natural beeswax coating gives it a nice, even burn, which is exactly what you want from a wick.However, I found it not very practical and quite difficult to use for most of my candle-making projects. The self-dispensing feature is okay, but getting the wick to stand straight and stay centered in a candle mold or jar can be a real challenge compared to pre-tabbed wicks. It requires a lot more fussing with wick clips or other methods to keep it properly aligned. This makes the overall process more time-consuming and less efficient.Ultimately, while the quality of the wick is there, the difficulty in handling and positioning means I will probably continue to use traditional wicks over these for most of my crafting needs. It's a fine product for those who prefer hemp and are willing to put in the extra effort, but it's not a go-to for ease of use.
This natural hemp wick is made with a natural beeswax coating. Because of the way this is made, the wick has a slow burn at a lower temperature and does not drip. An additional benefit is that the wick has more body than many wicks and is easier to keep straight which is really helpful when making candles. I love that this wick product comes in varying lengths and a resealable bag so you can use what you need, and keep the rest of the wick clean and secure. I know these qualities would have helped when the kids were little and we made candles.
Several weeks after my purchase and I'm very happy with my this item. It stays lit when it needs to and extinguishes pretty easily.
